Seven races await us at Ripon on Tuesday with the first event on the card due off at 2.10. The advance going is ‘Good, Good to Firm in places’.
Race 1 (Ripon 2.10) - The drop back to the minimum trip should be ideal for Michael Bell’s Star of Rohm, who seemed to get tired in the closing stages over six furlongs at York on debut a couple of weeks ago. We rate Hayley Turner’s mount a banker selection.
Race 2 (Ripon 2.40) – Top weight Free Art is fancied to go well in this 10 furlong handicap but in a race with plenty of contenders we also include Tazaamun and The Lodge Road.
Race 3 (Ripon 3.10) – This could be another for Bell and Turner with their top weight Fortieth and Fifth expected to be on the premises. Indepub hinted at a return to form last time and is also included.
Race 4 (Ripon 3.40) – Richard Fahey’s Extraterrestrial looks as though he is coming to hand and is recommended along with the reliable Toto Skyllachy in a decent handicap.
Race 5 (Ripon 4.10) – Endless Applause and Henry Bee both have claims on recent form and look to have conditions to suit in this penultimate leg of the Placepot.
Race 6 (Ripon 4.40) – The unraced Joyful Motive wouldn’t have to be a world beater to make a winning debut here for Tom Tate in a contest where those with previous experience don?t look anything special at all. Of the rest it might be wise to include Cosmic Halo in your perm though.
