The Cheetahs are currently 11th on the overall league ladder with 16 points from seven matches, while the Chiers are in second place with 26 from just six matches and will be looking to keep the pressure on the Stormers at the top.

The Cheetahs have opted to make two changes to their starting line-up for the visit of the Chiefs.

Sias Ebersohn will start the game at number 10 with teenager Johan Goosen struggling with a shoulder injury although he will be on the bench, while Justin Downey is in at blindside prop with Ashley Johnson dropping down.

The Chiefs, who are looking for their sixth consecutive victory, have made three changes of their own.

Andrew Horrell is preferred to Robbie Robinson at full-back, while Alex Bradley will make his Chiefs debut at number eight and Hika Elliot starts in the number two jersey.

The Chiefs are seen as the narrow favourites to win this Super Rugby encounter and can be backed at $1.68 with Luxbet, while the Cheetahs are on offer at 2.10.

The home side have been handed a 1.5 points head start on the line handicap and can be backed at 1.95, while the Chiefs -1.5 are available at 1.80.
