The Final Four of the 2014 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League takes place in Ankara this weekend.
Hosts Halkbank Ankara will open the Final Four weekend on Saturday against Poland’s Jastrzebski Wegiel and Ankara's Matey Kaziyski, who moved from Italy to the Turkish capital last summer, is certainly looking forward to the clash as he told reporters:
"Arkas Izmi is the only [Turkish] team who ever participated in the Final Four of the Champions League and they did so two years ago. The Final Four is taking place in Turkey for the first time in history and this is a real honour for all of us.
"We have been preparing for this highlight already for quite some time and I can only hope that we will play our best and come out with some good results at the end of the weekend. I invite all the Volleyball fans from Ankara to come to the Baskent Hall to support us. They shall fill up the stands and by the end of the tournament we hope we can reward them by winning the cup."

Halkbank's Sabit Karaağaç, meanwhile, is aiming for a four-trophy haul this season as he added:
"We aim to be the champion at the end of this season. Turkey Cup is also in our target list. If we succeed to carry the Champions League Cup, plus Super Cup to our museum, we would complete the 3 in our list. We have already received the Super Cup of previous year and reached ¼ of our target."
