Game Variety

Pacific Poker offers a good variety of poker games, including Omaha, Omaha Hi Lo, 7 card stud and 7 card stud Hi Lo, as well as all the incarnations of Texas Hold’em, which remains the most popular game on the site. Heads up play is available as well as short handed, and most games come in Fixed Limit and Pot Limit varieties, with some No Limit as well.

Traffic

Cash game traffic is centered around the Hold’em games, but a decent amount of players can be found in Omaha Hi Lo and 7 card stud. Cash game traffic tops 2,500 at peak times.

Rake

Pacific Poker’s rake is industry standard, with a no flop no drop policy keeping the rake out of hands that don’t see the flop. The rake is around 5% and maxes at $5 for the highest stake games, and around $1 for most other stakes.

Competition

There are a lot of loose games at Pacific Poker, with viewed flop percentages hitting 70% at some tables. Where most sites have Hold’em as their primary fishing grounds, PacificPoker’s Omaha Hi Lo games are fairly loose as well.
