The European Champions League (ECL) is the seasonal table tennis competition for the highest ranked European club teams and it is regarded the most important international club competition in Europe.

This table tennis Champions League is organised by the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) and replaced the European Club Cup of Champions (ECCC) back in 1998. It started as only a men's competition, but in 2005/06 a women's competition was introduced, also starting in September and running until May of the following year.

Belgian club La Villette Charleroi is the most successful club in the history of the men's competition, winning consecutively from 2001 to 2004, while Italy's top club Sterilgarda TT Castelgoffredo is the most successful club in the women's league with two wins so far.

Originally, eight teams contested this prestigious table tennis title and today 16 clubs take part in the ECL.
